Restoration Of The 10th?

I think I like it ….

The same people driving the lawsuits that seek to dismantle the Obama administration’s health care overhaul have set their sights on an even bigger target: a constitutional amendment that would allow a vote of the states to overturn any act of Congress.

Under the proposed “repeal amendment,” any federal law or regulation could be repealed if the legislatures of two-thirds of the states voted to do so. – NYT

Stop Global Warming Now!

Oh my, the humanity of it all …

LEE COUNTY: Sanibel Island’s Lighthouse Beach is covered with thousands of dead sea creatures that washed ashore because of the cold weather.

Sea urchins, sea sponge, sea worms and stone crabs litter the beach for several miles.

Someone please call Al Gore. We need his help before it is too late!

Ladies Don’t Wear The Pants In Sudan

Sudan’s President Omar Al-Bashir responds

Separately, Mr Bashir also commented on a recent high-profile case in which a video posted on the internet showed a woman being flogged by police in the north.

“If she is lashed according to Sharia law, there is no investigation. Why are some people ashamed? This is Sharia,” the president said.

Human rights activists have accused the police of treating the woman in a particularly brutal way not compatible with Islam.

DREAM Act blocked in Senate

Works for me ….

Carrie Dann writes: A measure that would have offered provisional legal status to some adults who came to America illegally as children failed to advance in a Senate vote Saturday.

Democratic backers of the legislation fell short of the 60 votes to move the DREAM Act legislation forward. Democratic Sens. Mark Pryor of Arkansas, Jon Tester of Montana, Max Baucus of Montana, Kay Hagan of North Carolina, and Ben Nelson of Nebraska voted against bringing the bill to the floor; Republican Sens. Richard Lugar, Lisa Murkowski, and Robert Bennett voted for it.

The vote was 55-41.

Osama Bin Laden’s First Strike Against America

We often forget that our conflict with Bin Laden did not start on 9/11.

ADEN, Yemen, Dec. 29 (AP) — Two bombs exploded today at hotels where Marines were staying en route to Somalia, killing one person and wounding eight, the Government said. The Pentagon said no American personnel were harmed.

A Pentagon spokesman, Maj. Bryan Whitman of the Army, said in Washington that “no U.S. military personnel were involved.”

Yemen, a republic of 12 million at the southern end of the Arabian Peninsula, is allowing American forces working in Somalia to use its air and sea installations.

This is OBL’s first strike against US Marines stationed in Yemen in 1992. Within days, the Yemeni Ministry of Interior determined it was OBL and sought help from Interpol to locate him. The CIA was notified of who launched the attack. Yet two years later when the Sudan offered to turn OBL over to the US, Bill Clinton refused claiming that OBL had done nothing against the US.

Thank you Bill for 9/11.
