I disagree. Analytic thinking actually strengthened my belief in God. Like many folks, I was confused in my younger years as to what to believe, so I began my own careful and logical spiritual quest. Like many others before me, that quest led to Christ. So no, analytic thinking does not necessarily weaken religious belief. Quite the contrary, it very often strengthens it.
